Malnutrition awareness
Challenge
One in four people over the age of 65 is at risk of malnutrition. Caregivers tend to worry about the food their young children eat but overlook the nutritional needs of the elderly around them. That is why ensuring that all elderly people in their surroundings undergo malnutrition screening helps prevent it from going unnoticed.
Approach
Aging, like growing up, imposes demands on the body, and older adults—especially those living independently—may not get the nutrients they need. Caregivers often ask these questions about children, but not the elderly. "Who needs nutrition more?" challenges the conventional caregiving approach, urging us to prioritize the nutritional well-being of our elderly loved ones, just as we do for children.
